Internet Applications

Course Objectives:


This course introduces the basics infrastructure of the Internet. It also gives the necessary skills to implement and use Internet applications. 

Course Content:

  1. Internet history.
  2. Internet infrastructure and technologies.
  3. How internet works and how to connect local networks and personal computers with the internet.
  4. Execute and improve internet server (Apache and ISE).
  5. Dynamic and static sites.
  6. Internet programming languages and web services.
  7. Designing and publishing internet WebPages using (ASP, EJB, CGI).
  8. Building internet applications related to database and file systems.
  1. Design user friendly interfaces when developing internet applications.

 

Skills expected from this course:


Upon finishing this course, the student should: 

  1. Know and use networks protocols (HTTP, FTP, SMPT, POP, IMAP, TCP/IP, and LDAP).
  2. Design internet Web pages using the proper and correct designing rules and suitable formulas and methods.
  3. Develop dynamic internet WebPages using internet programming languages.
  4. Build and apply internet for (server/client).
  5. Understand internet web pages / applications and how it affects on the performance speed and efficiency.
