Introduction to Software Project Management

Course Objectives:


The course aims to teach the student basic concepts in the management of IT projects in general and software systems projects in particular. It knows the basics of project scheduling, team building, risk management, solving the problems that hinder the work in the projects and the accuracy of deliverables on time and within budgets allocated to them. The student will learn to use well-known programs in project management software systems such as software (MS Project management) to apply what it learns in the course.

4. Determine the operating system of the project
5. Estimate the time required to implement the various stages of the project
6. Needs assessment and materials required and the cost of the project
7. Time planning for the project implementation and follow-up
8. Quality programs and selected
9. Identification and management of team work


Skills expected from this course:

1. The ability to plan for software development projects.
2. Inventory and identification of internal and external resources for the project.
3. The initial cost estimate for the project and the budget.
4. Monitor the implementation of the project plan and to maintain complete.
5. The ability to deal with the risks and analysis.
6. Leadership and team building.
7. Ability to adapt to changes that may occur on the project during its implementation.
8. Monitoring phases of the project during implementation to ensure quality.
